There are days when I want to pull the trigger and buy the jacket at full price but the frugal side of me is telling myself to be patient and wait and see if a sale will happen soon. In the meantime, I was debating between the two colors and needed your help in deciding between....
The Mossy Brown?
Or the Deep Navy?
Both colors look amazing and I could imagine both in my closet since both colors are very complementary (in my opinion). When I look at the jackets, the mossy brown looks more casual and rugged and the deep navy looks a little more polished. Do any of you own the downtown field jacket? If so how do you like the jacket?
Which color do you recommend that I get?
On a side note...I giggled to myself because when I was skimming through the J.Crew website, I thought I read Downton field jacket. Can you tell I have Downton Abby on my mind? Any other Downton Abby fans out there?
Cute jacket! Both colors are nice, but I think I would go for the mossy brown. It's always a gamble waiting for J. Crew things to go on sale... once on sale, sizes often sell out quickly. Hope you're having a great week, Phoebe! :)
ReplyDeletehard choice! but I'm leaning towards the mossy brown because I think it'll pair better with blue jeans and seems to be more versatile somehow. The blue would be good if you are more a khaki-wearing kind of gal! I've only watched part of one episode of Downtown Abby when I was flipping channels awhile back and had no clue what was going on...some sort of flower contest?....anyway but I loved the fashion that I saw on that one episode! Even inspired me to get a Downtown Abbey-inspired blouse, haha :)

ReplyDeleteThat is really a hard choice. The Mossy Brown is more of a "trend" right now but the Deep Navy is very unique. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Love the style!

Mossy brown! I'm usually a blue girl through and through, but I feel like the style of this jacket goes better with the more military color of the mossy brown.
